ConTact C.A.R.E FAQ'S
What happens when we start a session?
To assist your practitioner, you are requested to complete a form showing your areas of concern, when/how the issue occurred, any existing medical conditions, plus your contact information.

Does it hurt?
ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release is a non-manipulative modality where maintaining your comfort is the key to our understanding of your issue, as well as a way to help you manage any experience of discomfort, pain or stress that you may be feeling. The process itself is painless. I will support the body as it 'unwinds' or 'unravels' the movement that occurred at the time of the injury.
Some clients 'feel' the unravelling, whilst others do not.. it's normal either way!
What might I feel post-session?
Most clients report a feeling of 'lightening of the load', 'breathing more easily' and/or an increase in freedom of movement. Some clients experience fatigue or tenderness a day or so later due to the body settling into a new way of being, however personal results may vary. It is good practice to drink plenty of water before and after a session.

What do I need to wear?
The session will be carried out fully clothed, so make sure you wear comfortable, flexible, loose fitting clothing. You will be asked to remove your shoes and position yourself in the most comfortable way possible, be it standing, sitting or lying down (in your sleep position), and you can reposition yourself and move around during the session.

Injury and pain sites, are they the same thing?
You may have experienced discomfort at the injury site at the time of injury, eg stubbing your toe, or bumping your elbow. However the discomfort that brings you to seek assistance is generally referred from the injury site because when a bone has Flinchlocks, the body compensates by 'carrying' the unresponsive bone around - this is also why I work on an area away from the discomfort.
Can I combine this work with other modalities?
You may be drawn to work with other modalities. We would respectfully request that you leave at least 72 hours before or after using an alternative modality, and at least 72 hours before attending your next ConTact C.A.R.E session.

Will I need more than one session?
More often than not, only one session is required, dependent upon the injury I often refer to injuries as being hidden under many layers that have to be addressed first – a bit like layers of an onion. Seldom would it take any more than 3 sessions for any one particular issue.
What can I do to help myself?
On conclusion of the treatment I recommend Qi Gong-type stretches that may assist with your recovery.

DO drink plenty of water and DON'T run a marathon on the same day of treatment, ie, be kind to your body, no hard gym workouts please!
